Dancefest is the dance development agency for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which runs a vibrant year round programme that includes classes, projects and performances.
A programme of classes for all ages and abilities takes place in venues in the two counties. Participants often get the opportunity to perform both informally and in the annual showcase.
Dancefest leads many projects each year. These vary in size and scale, from one off workshops to site specific performances. Work is undertaken for schools (within the curriculum and after school), and community groups (including organisations working with the elderly, different abilities, youth clubs etc).
Dancefest also designs and manages its own projects. Examples of this are Jigsaw - an annual integrated performance project, dance films and site specific work.
Dancefest leads Worcestershire Dance Promoters which brings together the county’s venues to work on audience development, programming and participation. See the programme for the current season on the performances page.
