Dancefest has many and varied opportunities to volunteer, from being a member of the Dancefest Board, to helping our dance teachers with classes, stewarding, chaperoning, working on costumes and delivering publicity materials.
We want volunteering to be an enjoyable experience that provides the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. It’s an important role that contributes to the experience of our participants, and our volunteers are much valued.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, please contact Paul Bellamy, our Administrator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01905 611199. He'll tell you more and then ask you to complete a registration form, which you can download below.
Generally our volunteers are 16 or over but if you're a little younger than that, we may still be able to offer you volunteering opportunities so please get in touch.
We're currently looking for energetic, confident, patient and reliable volunteers who can give at least an hour a week to support our dance teachers at our after school classes that take place Monday to Friday in a range of venues in Worcester.
Being a volunteer involves working alongside the dance teacher in the class as well as helping to set up and clear up. It’s ideally suited to anyone who enjoys dance, is interested in teaching, taking an Arts Award, or who wants to support things happening in the local community. In return Dancefest can offer free classes.
Dancefest provides an induction session where you can find out more about the work we do, meet members of the team, talk through what happens in classes and find out about issues such as safeguarding.
We're also grateful for volunteers who can help with marketing, from taking our flyers to local shops and cafes, to helping with our social media posts.
