Environmental sustainability

Dancefest is committed to minimising our impact on the environment.

We involve Board, staff, freelancers, partners and stakeholders in monitoring our environmental impact and set realistic and achievable targets to reduce that impact and our carbon footprint.

Dancefest’s work is built on taking our work to communities not always well served by art. Much of our work takes place in community and education settings throughout Worcestershire and Herefordshire, therefore we reduce or remove the need for people to travel to access our classes, projects and performances.

We wrote an article for Julie's Bicycle. We report to them each year on our environmental plan and progress and they ask for stories.

We told them about our pop-up space at The Old Fire Station in Worcester. It was a really special project for us. They’ve published our story and it’s brought that project alive again!
