Boost! Youth

Our 11-16s schools-based project based around Mind's '5 steps to improving and maintaining mental wellbeing'.

In a nutshell; shaped to support individual schools’ needs, the project can run from 1 to 5 weekly positive and engaging 1 hour dance workshops identifying simple ways young people (and staff too), can look after heads and hearts; improving mental health day-to-day by doing good things including being curious and learning new skills.

Every workshop is a safe space, enabling all participants (whether full year groups or smaller selected groups of individuals who the school has identified to benefit most), to fully partake and feel the power and joy of creative dance without judgement. The practical and positive workshops will also explore how we recognise and regulate tricky emotions and build a mental health skills bank to take away.

Essentially, we hope the project will provide much-needed support to a school's mental health approach; to support students' mental health and wellbeing day-to-day, fulfil potential and in-turn positively impact on academic journeys - young people feeling more positive in their school day and life and celebrating what makes them unique!
