Dancefest in Education - Terms and Conditions for Schools

  1. In the event of any changes to the agreed dates, times or space to be used please contact janene@dancefest.co.uk with as much notice as possible. Dancefest will try to work around these where possible, in line with the cancellation policy below.  
  2. Please ensure the space is clean and clear for each workshop and that the Dance Leader has access 10 minutes before the workshop to set up.  
  3. Schools must ensure that a member of staff is present in the space for the duration of each workshop. 
  4. Ideally the same member of staff should be present for workshops for the duration of the project in order to support staff CPD.
  5. The school is responsible for ensuring there is adequate and appropriate first aid cover for the duration of the workshops. 
  6. Payment terms for invoices are 30 days and invoices will be issued at the start of the project.  

Cancellation Policy 

It is agreed that both parties (Dancefest and School) will endeavour to avoid cancellation but, should cancellation be unavoidable, the party cancelling the workshop/s will inform the other at the earliest opportunity. Both parties will endeavour to re-arrange the session/s for a different date but if this is not possible the School agrees to the following cancellation terms;  

  • 14 days or more before the workshop date, Dancefest will issue a full refund. 
  • 8-14 days before the workshop date, Dancefest will issue a 50% refund. 
  • 7 days or less before the workshop date, the School will liable for the full cost of the workshop/s

If Dancefest is forced to cancel a workshop, a full refund will be provided if it is not possible to re-arrange the workshop for another date. 

Dancefest’s responsibilities to Schools: 

  • All Dancefest Dance Leaders will have current ID and DBS (including update service details if signed up to it) available on arrival at the school. Please contact poppy@dancefest.co.uk if you would like to access this documentation prior to start of the project. 
  • Dancefest is responsible for ensuring all Dance Leaders have up to date safeguarding and basic first aid training, and current safeguarding practice is adhered to during all bookings involving activities with children and young people. This includes the use of photographic or video recording equipment. 
  • The Dance Leader will be suitably trained and be experienced in delivering creative dance in education settings.  
  • The Dance Leader will ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises, and used there, are PAT tested.
